This album is brilliant.

The kids are going to hate it because “it doesn’t sound like his old stuff”. They are probably going to say stuff like “its very country” or “very bluegrass”…

I hope so.

For the record, its neither. Its a gift for people that love good music. An album by an artist whose sound has constantly evolved naturally without the influence of trends in popular music.

Its a great album…. just like all his other stuff.

I woke up this morning and thought I would post this when I realized, I believe I already did…
which I had, back in May of last year.

“Still my favorite song of all time.

Maybe it was the drums by ?uestlove.

Maybe the mids by Jack Joseph Puig.

Maybe because it was Heavier Things.

Or maybe, just maybe, because I was born at the right time. (musically speaking)

Two years older and I’d be listening to Dave Matthews”

“Don’t think twice it’s all right”, John Mayer

This is why I love the guy.

Some people say stuff like “I grew up on __________ music”, I simply say “Musically, I grew up with John Mayer”

A Very Important Announcement.

I just found out there is no such thing as the real world.

Kinda reminds me of the days when it was more about the music and not the man.
